Since Esther graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2019, she has been providing personalised music therapy services for a range of clients including children, adolescents, young people, adults, older adults and the elderly. She has clinical experience in working with people with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. This includes autism, learning disabilities, brain injuries, hearing and visual impairments, and trauma. Esther also has experience in working with people living with dementia (such as Alzheimer’s disease), physical disabilities, and mental health needs. In addition, she has experience in giving one-to-one piano and voice lessons to children.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Esther has worked with many individuals and a range of organisations, such as Edinburgh Headway Group, Gilmerton Care Home (Four Season), Hear My Music (Spectrum Music), St. Mary’s RC Primary School and Polbeth Nursery, and Lower Johnshill Care Home (Auchlochan Garden Village). She also has experience working with Lauder Lodge (Care UK), Teens+, and Forward Vision at Royal Blind School.

Esther currently works at Gilmerton Neurological Care Centre (Four Seasons), Cluny Lodge and Chamberline Care Home (Elder Homes), as well as with various individuals from the community. Additionally, she runs a Singing for Lung Health Group in East Lothian (Musselburgh) with The Warblers, and works with the church choir at Stockbridge Parish Church. She is also the Scotland Regional Coordinator of British Association For Music Therapy (BAMT).

Lilian is a registered music therapist (AS017920) based in Scotland, offering group and individual sessions for older adults, particularly those with dementia or brain injuries, as well as children with additional needs and mental health challenges. Since graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2022, Lilian has focused on enhancing the cognitive and emotional well-being of her clients through music therapy. In 2024, she furthered her expertise by completing training in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT), gaining specialised techniques to improve mobility, cognitive abilities, and speech and language skills.

With extensive experience working in hospitals, schools, and care homes such as Canmore Lodge Care Home and Sunrise the Busset, Lilian employs psychodynamic and person-centered approaches in her practice, personalised the sessions to meet clients’ specific goals, whether improving communication, memory, or fostering emotional connection through music.

Lilian is currently working as a freelance music therapist and piano teacher. She has over seven years of experience in music education, alongside her clinical practice as a music therapist, and always finding joy and connection with her students. Lilian is deeply committed to supporting her clients by combining the power of music with her skills to create an engaging and transformative therapeutic experience.

Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Aberdeen in 2019 before completing her Master’s in Music Therapy at Queen Margaret University, qualifying in 2023.

With experience working across schools, mental health services, and charities, Lisa has worked with both children and adults with complex emotional, social, and physical needs. Her work is rooted in a psychodynamic and person-centred approach, meeting each individual where they are and tailoring sessions to their unique needs. Lisa understands the role music can play in building connections, facilitating communication, and exploring emotions and identity.

Outside of her therapy work, Lisa is a dedicated singing tutor, teaching students of all ages, and a successful freelance soprano, performing at events, services, and concerts throughout the year.
